Article 42 of Law No. 234/2012 places in the hands of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in agreement with relevant Ministries, the decisions concerning interventions in ongoing proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union in order to protect major national interests.
