By 144 votes to 10 with 79 abstentions, the Senate today approved the draft law delegating the transposition of European directives and the implementation of other acts of the European Union — European Delegation Act 2018 — to the Government. The text now has to go back to the Chamber.

Following the amendments adopted by the Commission in the Senate, the draft law now contains 26 articles and delegates the transposition of 26 European directives, as well as the adaptation of the national legislation to 10 European Regulations and to a Council JIA  Framework Decision, to the Government. 

The articles also contain specific guiding principles and criteria for carrying out the delegation of 14 directives.
