On Sunday 23 October 2022, the first Council of Ministers of the new Government headed by Giorgia Meloni was held. President Meloni conferred the mandates to her ministers without portfolio. The mandate for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan was bestowed on Raffaele Fitto (MEP).

The new Government was sworn in at the Quirinale Palace on 22 October 2022. For more information, see the Government website.
