Undersecretary Amendola, an united Europe to build peace
"In this historical moment only an united Europe can protect us from the abyss of the nearby war. Only an united Europe can build peace. Europe needs change to face the challenges of the new world advancing before our eyes." Undersecretary Amendola thus commented from the final session of the Conference on the Future of Europe in Strasbourg, on the occasion of the 72nd Europe Day.

Conference on the Future of Europe, final report delivered to EU institutions
In a closing ceremony in Strasbourg, on the occasion of Europe Day, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, President Emmanuel Macron on behalf of the Council Presidency, and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, received the Report on the final outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe from the Co-Chairs of the Executive Committee.

"The future is yours – Let's meet in Abruzzo to talk about the future of Europe"
The initiative aims to stimulate citizens and young people to participate in the Conference on the future of Europe. Upon conclusion of the works, ideas and proposals for the future of Europe will be collected. Speakers include MEPs Laura Ferrara, Giuseppe Ferrandino and Valentino Grant. Councillor Francesco Tufarelli will represent the Department.

Conference on the Future of Europe: 49 final proposals approved. Amendola, "A response to the crises we are facing"
On 29 and 30 April, the plenary session of the Conference on the Future of Europe met in Strasbourg for the last time and approved 49 final proposals. For Undersecretary Amendola it is "a response to the crises we are facing, to write together the agenda of a Europe that must revise and amend its Treaties". The final report will be presented during the Europe Day ceremony on 9 May.

"The future is yours – Let's meet in Apulia to talk about the future of Europe"
The initiative, promoted by the Department for European Policies in collaboration with the Representation in Italy of the European Commission and the European Parliament Office in Italy, aims to stimulate citizens and young people to participate in the Conference on the Future of Europe. Ideas and proposals for the future of Europe will be collected upon conclusion of the event.

“Europe is in your hands", the winners of the competition
The list of the winning classes (for each category: video, PPT, social media content) of the national competition titled "L'Europa è nelle tue mani" (Europe is in your hands), promoted by the Department for European Policies and the Ministry of Education, has now been published. Twenty-one (21) winners: 13 in the video category, 4 in the PPT category, and 4 in the social media content category.

Conference on the Future of Europe – Event at the Campidoglio in Rome

The Department for European Policies and Roma Capitale are organising, in collaboration with the European Parliament and the European Commission, a meeting with young university students, high-school students and civil society, focussing on the themes of the Conference on the Future of Europe. Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and Undersecretaries Vincenzo Amendola and Benedetto Della Vedova will participate in the event.

Amendola says “Young people call for a stronger Europe. We must listen to them”
"Young European citizens are calling for a stronger Europe that is up to our changing world. We must listen to them, starting from their requests and ambitions and opening up to the reform of the Treaties." Undersecretary Amendola declared it when speaking today at the Campidoglio on the occasion of the event involving Roman high-school and university students dedicated to the Conference on the Future of Europe. "Today the future of the EU primarily relies on peace and free and democratic coexistence of peoples."

On Thursday 7 April 2022 the Department for European Policies and the University of Padua are going to hold "Incontriamoci a Padova" (Let’s meet in Padua). It is the ninth appointment of a cycle of meetings aimed at stimulating citizens to participate in the Conference on the Future of Europe.
