Hearing summary

The President of the National Association of Young Innovators, a point of reference for innovation in Italy, conveyed a detailed proposal to put into practice ideas and projects for the relaunch of Europe.

According to the Association, restarting will be possible only through a reconstruction policy based on investments in productive and service excellence, so as to create value through digital innovation, both in the private and public sector. It is therefore necessary to ensure, at the level of the Conference on the Future of Europe and the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the involvement of all the realities of innovation and the world of startups, for an economic and social revival of Italy and Europe, investing primarily in young people and innovation as driving forces for the future of the continent.

In order to enable for development and make Europe more inclusive and sustainable, six key themes were identified, i.e., sustainable urban regeneration; mobility and territorial cohesion of “Inner Areas”; inclusion and enhancement of human capital; training and strategic investments in education and research; digital identity and services to citizens; and ecological and energy transition.

It is hoped that such contribution will be useful in effectively putting the new generations at the centre of initiatives and that it will foster the emergence of new opportunities at the employment, economic and social levels. Without excluding the possibility that the active involvement of society could lead to an improved update of the 2007 Lisbon Treaty.
