The "Europa=Noi" project was designed in 2010 as an initiative aimed at providing schools of all levels with educational contents and multimedia tools promoting interactive learning on EU history, values and institutions, with a special attention for the European citizenship-related rights.
"Europa=Noi" was originally launched on Cd-ROM support. The tool offers to school classes digital educational materials free and dedicated by user type.
In collaboration with Regional School Offices and Europe Direct points, Europe=Us has been presented to over 6 thousand teachers in more than 50 territorial meetings
across the country.
On 10 December 2012, on the occasion of the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union, the Prime Minister sent a letter to all school principals together with the "Europa=Noi" CD inviting teacher to use this tool "in their important task of making the European Union be known in an easy and informal way".
The project has been presented to the Information Group of the Council of the EU and the European Commission has published Europe=Us amongst Member States "best practices" on its website, thus attracting the interest of other EU countries (Latvia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany), which have asked to be allowed to translate it into their national languages.
