Coordination and monitoring of horizontal EU policies and Secretariat of the National Committee for EU Affairs (CIAE)

Chief of Unit:

Hosting the Secretariat of the Interministerial Committee on European Affairs (CIAE) and ensuring preparation and follow-up of the Committee’s meetings and of the Technical Evaluation Committee for EU acts (CTV)
Dealing with activities related to the General Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Economic and Financial Affairs formations of the EU Council
Coordinating the preparatory phases of the National Reform Programme under the “Europe 2020” Strategy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance; ensuring coordination with central and regional Administrations and consultation of political forces, local authorities, the National Council for Economics and Labour (CNEL), the Youth Forum, and more generally, social partners
Ensuring the monitoring of horizontal policies, in particular in relation to growth, employment and innovation issues.
