The 60th Anniversary of the Treaties of Rome

On 25th March 2017, Europe celebrates the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome, one of the most remarkable historical moments of the European integration process. The Department for European Policies promotes a series of initiatives encouraging the debate and reflexion on the future of European project, namely among the young generations.

 

"Relaunching the European project"

Sandro Gozi underscored the relevance of the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, “which will enable us to renew our commitment for a better Union, by involving those countries willing to safeguard and relaunch the European project. This message should be addressed especially to young generations, with the purpose of restoring their hope for the future”.
